Welcome

This genealogy, first published on the internet on February 22, 2007, is dedicated to all the descendants of Melville Lean and Norma Richards. The major focus of the genealogical research of this site is the Lean name, and particularly the history of Thomas Lean (1813-1859) who was the first Lean to leave Cornwall, UK to settle in Hamilton Township, Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada in what is now the Village of Camborne. The site is intended to be a work in progress for those who are researching this family and the various pedigrees. In addition to the Lean name, there will be other genealogies included, mostly the pedigrees of the Lean and Richards and affiliated family surnames.

It is my goal to make this site not only a comprehensive guide to our family's genealogy but also to provide a way for us to learn more about our current family and stay informed on current family events. Whether you want to find out more about your ancestors or discover new "long lost" cousins, I hope this web site will meet your needs.

These pages are updated periodically as new information is discovered or corrections are made, so please check back occasionally to see what may have been added. If you have current news to share, family reunions or events to announce or have ancestral information to donate, please
contact me.

The site was last updated on December 27, 2011.

I hope you enjoy our family's site and come back to visit often!
